I've had a sadness linger the last few days because of Katrina that can only be summarized by the fact that Pink Floyd's Goodbye blue sky has been banging around in my head. If you haven't already, you should read Coming global superstorm by whitley strieber and art bell to understand why. (and yes, day after tomorrow was cheesy, but not even a tenth as good as the book was)
Right now I feel quite good  !
I never thought the backstreet boys would give me a warm fuzzy feeling! This video, to me, signifies that popular culture is finally beginning to accept that perhaps the emperor is not wearing any clothes after all. At the very least, it highlights our tendencies to value style before substance. I find that very rare for mainstream culture.
